KF3 - 14 mm Thimble

Solid thimble for ropes up to 14 mm - KARVER.

Description

This thimble is machined from a single piece of material to provide high resistance to deformation, even under extreme loads.

It allows the pin of an 10 mm shackle to be connected directly into the cylindrical hole with good positioning.

Its complementary rounded 10 mm hole can be used to create a reeving effect (friction ring) or to maintain the geometry of the assembly using lateral stabilisers.

This opening can also be used to forcibly approach the thimble via a mechanical advantage traction strand when connecting to the anchoring point. Similarly, when dismantled under tension, the hole can be used to take up the tensile force so that the shackle pin can be released.
