ROPE END SEALER

Quick-setting adhesive for sealing rope ends.

Helps stabilize rope ends and prevent fiber separation.

Highly effective on difficult materials such as aramids (Technora) and HMPE (Dyneema).

Advantages and use

Some types of rope are particularly difficult to cut or do not allow for the formation of a durable end. If the end is poorly made, the rope will fray and deteriorate quickly. The fibers will separate and the sheath and core will shift, forming an unreliable end that is difficult to tie and untie.

Two types of material are particularly tricky:
* HMPE fibers (Dyneema): these tend to swell when cut with heat and do not adhere well to polyester sheaths.
* Aramid fibers (Technora): these cannot be cut with heat, do not melt, and therefore do not stick together at all. It is therefore impossible to keep them together.

SOLUTION: For these fibers, or for any other rope where you want to improve the end result, it is therefore worth trying this quick and easy solution using cyanoacrylate glue.
Any glue will work, but this one is particularly suitable and effective.

Installation

* Wrap the rope with a small piece of adhesive tape (electrical tape, Scotch tape, Barnier, etc.)
* Cut the rope with a knife (ideally a ceramic knife).
* Hold the end vertically upwards and place a few drops of glue on the tip.
* The glue will penetrate quickly and dry in 5 seconds.
* Then remove the adhesive tape if you wish.

Qualities

ZAP Rose “Ultra-fine formula” glue offers significant advantages for this type of use.
