GIANT Descender

The Giant is an innovative multifunctional descender, developed to meet the most demanding rope and rescue specialists.
The patented operating mechanism, the unparalleled robustness of the hot-forged aluminum alloy structure and the special shape of the ergonomic handle give the Giant exceptional maneuverability even at high loads of up to 210 kg / two people.

In addition to being a descender for rope access and rescue, the Giant is certified and can therefore be used as a fall arrest device (expl: during the fractionation passages), as a blocker characterized by excellent fluidity and as a safety device. climbing belay.

Due to its guiding of the rope with an entry at the high point and an almost parallel exit, the efficiency of this descender during load pulls (short ascents on the rope, positioning, small pulls, tensioning or hauling) is slightly better than other equivalent products with a efficiency of 58% on average instead of 42% for the other models.

The handle is equipped with:

* An anti-panic safety system, which stops the descent in case of excessive pressure on the handle by the user.
* An incremental, incremental locking function, perfect for breaks during descent.
* A button allows a direct action on the cam for a rapid sliding of the rope in case of low load.
* Several opening notches to manage the speed to the descent. Great fluidity downhill.

Thanks to the opening of the flap provided with a safety lever, it is possible to insert the rope without removing the Giant from the carabiner.
