The new WINGMAN mechanical advantage Kit from HARKEN is based on a new concept of pulley-descender which significantly improves the functionality of the hauling system.
This small personal and compact hauling kit will become an essential assistant for assembly operations and rope rescue.
Its self-locking function and practicality when descending are exceptional.
Wingman's innovative design makes it one of the first offerings in this category to achieve internal progress capture mechanically within the unit rather than relying on prusiks to achieve this externally.
Wingman combines a ratchet pulley to stop the rope with a composite handle or wing that the operator can open and close under load for a well-modulated “tuned” release.
When fully loaded, even with the sheaves fully tightened, the system can be released quite easily - with full control using one hand on the kite and the other tensioning the line.
The device is also great for creating adjustable directions, work positioning and more.
It can be configured as a 4:1 or 5:1 mechanical advantage system, depending on its direction of use.
These revolutionary features along with ball bearings in the pulleys that maximize efficiency for lifting and lowering loads up to 681 lbs (300 kg), make Wingman a simple tool you'll always want by your side.
The WINGMAN has a minimum overall length of just 18 cm (bottom of the swivel rings), which means more clearance under a tripod and more reach when picking up.
The WINGMAN has a maximum length of 380 cm ensuring an excellent range of use and stroke.
Comes in an industrial grade ballistic nylon carry case with locking buckle.
The case includes a drawstring and drain grommets to separate the unit and line for proper deployment and line drying.
