What does HMS stand for?

HMS means in German "Halb Mastwurf Sicherung", or half capstan knot.
These very round and wide carabiners at the top are therefore intended in particular to leave room for the rope when turning the half-capstan knot.
More generally, their shape is wide and round, almost symmetrical, providing good mobility of equipments and fluid movements.
Be careful not to load them in Y, that is to say at an bridle angle in three directions.
