Harken, in partnership with Cyclops, has developed a small load sensor for use in work at height and rope rescue. The RADIX is one of the most compact and lightweight sensors on the market, yet it offers remarkable performance!

Its stainless steel plate and IP68 rating allow this sensor to be used in all circumstances, both indoors and outdoors.

Installation

The RADIX's two triangular connection holes make it very easy to attach with a carabiner. Integrating this dynamometer will only reduce your height by 73 mm. You can easily compensate for other lines that are not equipped by adding a size 8 Quick Link, for example.

Operation

The Radix is very compact, and the load must be read via Bluetooth on a smartphone (iOS or Android) equipped with Harken's 100% free app.

Simply turn on the Radix by pressing its single button, and you can then start reading the measurements.

The app is very easy to use. You can:
- pair up to 16 RADIX devices on your phone and customize their identification,
- choose the measurement frequency (3 Hz or 10 Hz),
- choose the unit of measurement (kg, ton, kN, or lbf) and accuracy,
- set minimum and maximum alert thresholds,
- Display and record all or part of the sensors, synchronized in time
- Record multiple measurement sequences in the app
- Export your measurement sequences via email or messaging

Specifications

The measurement frequency (3 Hz or 10 Hz) will of course have an impact on the RADIX's operating time.

In nominal operation at 10 Hz, the maximum operating time is stated by the manufacturer as 200 hours.
At 3 Hz, the operating time is considerably extended to 700 hours.
In standby mode, the battery life can be up to 8,000 hours!

The internal lithium battery is recharged by induction — without connectors — which improves water resistance. The RADIX is supplied with an induction charging strap, which you can easily attach around the device.
