Description :

High-strength steel wire rope (1960 N/mm²), blackened by painting.

Black-painted cables see their black paint flake off over time, especially during friction and pulley runs.

Painting is carried out on conventional carbon steel cables (not stainless steel) that are not galvanized. These cables therefore remain sensitive to corrosion, and traces of rust may appear if they are exposed to humidity.

In contrast, the burnishing process preserves the wire rope's rated capacities and ensures good color retention, since it is applied directly to the steel mass, like a surface treatment.

Please note: 2 to 8 mm cables are black by oxidation. They are sold in another product sheet.
