Advantages :

The Marlow Technora T12 is as durable as steel wire of equal diameter.

The big difference is the weight gain. The T12 is 7 times lighter than the steel cable of equal diameter.

Since TECHNORA has a very low elongation potential, you can only apply a safety factor of 5 instead of 7.

The very good quality of this braid will allow you to make your splices and other seamanship very easily.

Finally, unlike dyneema (also very resistant fiber), the TECHNORA has the advantage of a much better resistance to temperature (up to 500 ° C), 50% of the resistance guaranteed at 300 ° C.

 
Recommendation :

These new fibers nevertheless come with some constraints. It is not recommended to tie knots on this type of rope.

You must respect a minimum radius of curvature, of the order of 20 times the diameter of the wire.
