Description :

High-strength steel wire rope (1960 N/mm²), blackened by oxidation (burnishing).

The burnishing process preserves the wire rope's rated capacities and ensures good color retention, since it is applied directly to the steel mass, like a surface treatment.

In contrast, black painted cables lose their black paint over time.

Burnishing is carried out on conventional carbon steel cables (not stainless steel) that are not galvanized. These cables therefore remain sensitive to corrosion, and traces of rust may appear if they are exposed to humidity.

Please note: 10 mm cables are painted. They are sold in another product sheet.
