Black wire rope sold by the meter :

1- Choose the cable diameter from the drop-down list

2- Choose the type of termination: bare cable, crimped eye (crimped loop without thimble) or thimble crimped eye (crimped loop with thimble).

3- Choose the length of your sling (the length corresponds to the useful length, loop bottom / thimble bottom).

4- If you need the same sling several times, increase the quantities in your basket.

Description :

High-strength steel wire rope (1960 N/mm²), blackened by oxidation (burnishing).
- blackened by oxidation (burnishing) for diameters from 2 to 8 mm
- blackened by painting for 10 mm diameter

The burnishing process preserves the wire rope's rated capacities and ensures good color retention, since it is applied directly to the steel mass, like a surface treatment.

In contrast, black painted cables lose their black paint over time.

Burnishing is carried out on conventional carbon steel cables (not stainless steel) that are not galvanized. These cables therefore remain sensitive to corrosion, and traces of rust may appear if they are exposed to humidity.
